My name is Spencer Morgan.

Born and raised in Sacramento, California, my desire for art and design led me to the Bay Area where I majored in Design Studies while minoring in Photography. From there, I charted my sights to pursue wedding photography in the ‘Windy City’ of Chicago!

Wedding Photography

Wedding photography has always lived in my sights. Even before my arrival to the Midwest, my one and only goal was to successfully shoot my first wedding; and after working with local photographers and gaining skills and confidence, that dream came true in 2017! From there, I haven’t stopped since, and am always working toward sharpening my eye and skills in such a fast paced environment.

Design & Hand Lettering

I have always had an eye for design and a curiosity to CREATE, whether it be doodling or constructing crafts out of leather and cardboard. After decidedly working on my awful handwriting, and gawking at too many calligraphy videos on the internet, I found a love for broad-pen calligraphy, which later developed into digital hand-lettering. My goal for the near future is to pursue sign painting and chalkboard art to only increase the range of my lettering obsession!

Connecting with others, and working with passionate individuals has always been at the forefront of my work, however in my leisure, I focus on street photography, design/lettering projects, and producing printed zines.

Zines [zEEns]

What are zines you may ask? Zines are small booklets made by artists to affordably showcase their work. Chicago has one of the largest zine events in the country (Zine Fest).

My first zine was produced in 2018, created from my start into street photography in Chicago titled “Peep-Hole.” My second, titled “Maiden Japan,” released in the fall of 2020, which detailed a recent family trip in 2019. If you’d like more information or would like to purchase, click here.
